YHZC series surge protector

2025.02.26

1. Overview

YHZC series surge protector (Surge Protective Device, SPD for short) is an electronic device that provides safety protection for various electronic equipment, instruments and meters, and communication lines. When a spike current or voltage suddenly occurs in an electrical circuit or communication line due to external interference, the surge protector can conduct and shunt in a very short time, thereby avoiding the damage of the surge to other equipment in the circuit. Surges are generated from a wide range of sources, such as lightning induction, switch operation, electrostatic discharge, etc.

2. Uses

YHZC series surge protectors have the function of protecting electronic equipment: preventing hardware damage such as chip breakdown and circuit board burning caused by surge voltage, and extending the service life of equipment. For example, information equipment such as computers, servers, network switches, and industrial automation control equipment.

Ensure the stability of the power system: avoid surges on transformers, switches, cables and other equipment in the power system, maintain the stability and reliability of power supply, and reduce power outages.

3. Features

Fast response speed: It can respond quickly within nanoseconds (ns), quickly conduct and limit surge voltage, and limit overvoltage to the range that the equipment can withstand.

Large current capacity: It has strong energy absorption capacity and can withstand surge current impacts of up to tens of kiloamperes or even hundreds of kiloamperes, ensuring that it is not damaged while effectively protecting the back-end equipment.

Long life: It adopts high-quality materials and advanced technology. Under normal working conditions, it can operate stably for many years, reducing replacement and maintenance costs.

Easy installation: The structure is compact and the appearance design takes into account different installation environments. For example, the guide rail installation is convenient for quick installation in the distribution box, and there are also installation methods suitable for walls, equipment racks and other locations.

IV. Usage scenarios

Building lightning protection: Install surge protectors at the distribution box and power supply line of the building to prevent the surge voltage introduced by lightning from damaging the electrical equipment in the building, covering various types of buildings such as residential, commercial buildings, and industrial plants.

Communication base station: Protect the communication equipment, power equipment, transmission lines, etc. in the base station to ensure the continuity and stability of communication, avoid communication interruption and equipment damage due to surges, and affect the quality of communication services.

Data center: Provide protection for key equipment such as servers, storage devices, and network equipment. Data center equipment is dense and high-value, and data is important. Surge protectors can effectively prevent data loss and equipment failure.

Industrial automation: In factory automation production lines, protect programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensors, inverters and other equipment to ensure the continuous operation of industrial production and reduce production stagnation and losses caused by equipment failure.
